Guests are asked to observe the club dress code when visiting the clubhouse.
1872 Bar & Restaurant and Billiard Room areas observe a ‘smart casual’ dress code. This dress code may also apply to members who are using a private room for a function.
Smart casual dress includes open-neck shirts, dress jeans, and other smart dress. Jackets are preferred. Smart casual dress does not include athletic sportswear, open sandals, clothing bearing logos or pictures, shorts, tee-shirts, torn or revealing clothing.
Access to other heritage parts of the club would normally require business attire (jacket and tie), with the exception of occasions where more formal dress is stipulated. Military dress of the day is acceptable attire of the Canterbury Officers’ Club members and guests.
If you have any questions about the dress code or are unsure of what constitutes acceptable attire, the member who has invited you will be able to clarify.
