David Seymour grew up in Whangārei with two brothers, raised by a pharmacist mother and draughtsman father. From an early age he was exposed to business, community involvement, and the value of personal responsibility.

He studied electrical engineering and philosophy at the University of Auckland, working night shifts at a sawmill before moving into a full-time role on a fibre optic rollout project. Drawn to ACT while still a student, David developed a strong belief in individual freedom, equal opportunity, and rewarding hard work.

First elected as the MP for Epsom in 2014, he also became leader of ACT New Zealand that same year, helping rebuild the party into a major force in New Zealand politics. He is widely recognised for leading the End of Life Choice Act through Parliament, giving New Zealanders greater choice over their own lives following its approval by referendum in 2020.

David continues to advocate for educational reform, cutting red tape, and protecting the freedoms of individuals and businesses to succeed. Outside Parliament, he is a lifelong rugby supporter who has both coached and played the game, regularly bikes to work, and even finished fifth on Dancing with the Stars.

Duncan has served as the MP for Christchurch Central since being elected in 2017.

Duncan grew up in east Christchurch and went to Shirley Boys High and the University of Canterbury. A former Professor of Law, he stood for Parliament in the wake of the Christchurch earthquakes, after acting as lawyer for affected homeowners. He witnessed first-hand how Governments could fail communities.

He's most proud of big wins for Christchurch like funding for more buses, infrastructure investment like the youth hub and cancer accommodation, and progressing mass transit proposals. He believes Kiwis want their Government to support those who need it most in the here and now, while not backing down on long-term thinking that will set New Zealand up for a high wage, low carbon economy in future.
